If you are a pharmacist:

A variety of different multi-dose compliance packaging is available which can be customised to increase the market presence of your pharmacy. You can choose from a one week pack design, multiple week versions and two, three or four times a day options, a tri-fold version. Other designs are available so you can be assured that we supply exactly the right type of design best suited to the needs of the patient groups under your care.

The domiciliary Plus-Pak™ from MTS is easy for patients to use. It is available in pressure sensitive format and heat seal options and is disposable. We’ve also introduced a biodegradable option. Cards, blisters and filling templates are included with the pressure sensitive format. Plus-Pak™ ply and cork template are also available for use only with the heat seal option.

The pressure sensitive versions are delivered complete with cards, blisters and a template in a box that will allow you to produce 250 complete multi-dose compliance cards once assembled. Heat seal are delivered in a box of 250 cards, with blisters supplied separately in a box of 250.

‘Anytime, Anywhere’: The Flexi Plus-Pak from MTS gives your patients total freedom with its simple ‘tear and go’ feature and offers total flexibility, giving the patient access to their daily medication no matter where they are. Available in disposable, pressure sensitive format, cards, blisters and filling template included.

We also offer the potential for mechanisation or automation for higher volumes of patients or those pharmacists wishing to centralise their operations to ‘hubs’. Depending on the volume of dispensing, these solutions range from high quality heat-sealers through to either semi or full automation.

The Sureseal™ heat sealer is a robust design and has full electronic temperature regulation.

The OnDemand® Multi-Med will enable the pharmacy to produce in excess of 1,000 patient specific filled, sealed and labelled multi-dose compliance packs using up to 2 WTE (Whole Time Equivalents) on a relatively small footprint.

The MTS PIL-BOB® (pictured) is a low cost device that allows patients with minimum manual dexterity to access the blister cavity and is designed to assist patients who have difficulty accessing medication in compliance packaging. Medications fall into the cup from which they can be easily taken.

If you are a patient taking medication:

Following referral from the GP, District Nurse or Health visitor, your pharmacist will:

• Discuss the medication with you, its use and any associated difficulties
  
  
• Explain and discuss the use of the packaging product
  
  
• Collect your prescription from the surgery
  
  
• Assemble the pack
  
  
• Deliver it to you at an agreed time
  
  
• Follow up the use of the system at regular intervals and discussing medication-related difficulties with the GP and/or other healthcare professionals involved in your care
